Happy New Year 2019 and Farewell

image

A very Happy New Year wish to each of you!  2018 has been an fascinating year of changes around the world.  Truth is coming to the forefront.  The movement to protect women and children is gaining momentum.  Around the world, ordinary people are revolting against corruption and dictatorships.  Life is changing.

image

As part of my change for the next year, I am taking a year off from blogging on Judy's Angels and Ancestors blog.  I thank each of you for your views and for your comments.  I will leave the blog active at least until June 2019 so you can still send me comments and share your thoughts.

Being The Light

image

During the winter, up to the Winter Solstice, the daylight hours get shorter, and the night is long.  We look to those around us to bring in the light, and help us keep our spirits up.

Peacefulness

image

The noise around us all the time creates a disharmony in our bodies.  Some of the noise is silent to our ears, yet continues to bombard us.  If you are at work, there is a constant hum from your computer, your desk phone, your cell phone, the ventilation system, the heaters or fans, the sound of the people around you, the radio, if it is on.  We have learned to adjust to this noise and we cope.

Every once in a while, you need to refresh your body and go where there is not any constant man-made noise.  Going to a park or out into the country will refresh you, and ease the stress in your life.

Many blessings.

Snow

image
Snow is a reminder that what we do each day does nothing to change or to stop the course of the natural world.  Nature has a rhythm of its own that pays no attention to people.  Nature has a flow to it that the animals, birds, insects, reptiles, marine life, and plants and trees attune to and live in harmony with.
The relationship of the natural world is always there to teach us to be in the flow.  As you move in the flow, life seems simpler.

What is Freedom?

image

Here is a different thought on happiness and freedom.  One view of freedom is that being aware and living in the moment will bring you more freedom, and thus a sense of peace and contentment, that you need not pursue "Happiness" as it is always present.

Many Blessings.

No Need For Temples

imagePicture of the Dali Lama from http://www.joenolan.com/2008/10/no-mas-for-dalai-lama.html

This is my simple religion.  There is no need for temples; no need for complicated philosophy.  Our own brain, our own heart is our temple; the philosophy is kindness.  Dalai Lama, 1935 - -now.

I saw this on a quote page as I was scrolling through web sites.  This is the same philosophy that the indigenous people and their Shaman, Medicine Woman/Man, Wiseones, Mystics, etc. use around the world.  Indeed, there is no need for temples. We are all connected to Creator and vice-versa.  We are connected with everything in creation, if only we can find a way to hear or see or feel or remember.

As we get caught up in the drama around us, we forget to look inside for the answers.  For thousands of years, the teaching has been to look outward.

If you look around, does it seem to you that the world is getting kinder?  Does it also seem that more and more people are moving away from the old fashioned religion?  Yes, many of the individual church congregations are creating their own philosophy for their church and the people.  It includes new ways of doing things and bringing energy healing into the church.  It is perfect for this time.

May kindness guide your day!

Many blessings.

No Matter What You Do

image

Have you noticed that regardless of what you do, even if you follow a particular person's advice, that they will complain that you did not do something right?  It seems to be a curse of the decade that people need to continually point out what you did wrong.

One thought is, if you do not tell someone that what they did is wrong, they will not learn what is right.  But, is that true?  Is there always a right way and a wrong way?

The best way to get along with others is to go where the people are loving. They will not point out mistakes.  They will make suggestions.

Many blessing.

Spirit Speaks–Your Health And Happiness Depend on Mother Earth

image

The Ancestors knew that we must all be in harmony with the Earth, with the natural cycle of things if all beings are to prosper and to continue their species, homo sapiens included.

Humans, however, have fallen out with the Earth.  They do not know why they feel so isolated, so lonely, so depressed.  The answer is that they have lost their "roots" in the Earth.

Even if it is cold, go outside and be in a park, even for ten minutes to rejuvenate.

Don't Make Life About Stuff

image

The poster above says it all.  Do not collect stuff that will only serve your ego.  Collect friends, good meals together, go on outings, feed homeless or provide some sort of shelter and food  for animals. Make what you make count for something.

It's About Time

image

The grumbling at work this past week was all about time… how there is not enough of it; how we don't need daylight savings time anymore; how it seemed to be getting darker at an earlier time, and how much time friends and family take, never mind the amount of time you spend at work.

If we did not have clocks and if we did not have time, would we still do the same things?  Would we still need to find food to feed ourselves?  Yes!  Would we still need to make sure that we had shelter?  Yes! Would we still do things with friends and family?  Yes!  We would act mostly in the same way.

So what does it mean when people say, "I can't take time for that!"  What they are really saying is that they do not really want to do the activity in question.

Yet, we need to find the time to be compassionate for our self and for others.  We need to find time to be in harmony with our friends and family.  We need to find time for self healing.  We must absolutely find time to live our life, to love, to meditate, and to be mindful.

Many blessings.

Buddha Speaks - Do Not Bully Yourself

image

Our society is full of talk against bullying, and for good reason.  Bullying is imposing one's will over another, and in imposing that will, the will of the person and the needs of the person being bullied, go out the window.

Bullying is in direct opposition to the First Law of the Universe – Harm No One. Yet, we see many adults who bully others, intimidate others, and manipulate others.  They seem to think that it is okay.

As much as we believe in the rules/laws about anti-bullying, we still will bully ourselves.  We even use the same phrases against ourselves – against our body and our emotions – by trying to force them to be something that they are not.

For the next seven days, do not bully yourself.  Be kind to yourself.  Be strict if you have to be, but be conscious that we should treat ourselves as well as we can.

Many blessings.

Remembrance Day Nov 11 2018

image

Today, we remember our family and friends that fell in war or in peace keeping. We remember their courage and their belief that someone must do the right thing on behalf of all those people who can not do the right thing themselves – the aged, the children, the ill, and the caregivers.  We are grateful for their willingness to step forward when many will not.

Many blessings.

A Story About A Puppy

IMGP0167

A picture of our puppy, Magic, taken at Christmas time, 2006.

This is one of the neatest stories you will ever hear. You will know precisely what this little girl is talking about at the end (you'll want to share this one with your loved ones and special friends)!

                                *************

"Danielle keeps repeating it over and over again. We've been back to this animal shelter at least five times. It has been weeks now since we started all of this," the mother told the volunteer.
"What is it she keeps asking for?" the volunteer asked.
"Puppy size!" replied the mother.

"Well, we have plenty of puppies, if that's what she's looking for."
"I know…we have seen most of them," the mom said in frustration…
Just then Danielle came walking into the office.
"Well, did you find one?" asked her mom. "No, not this time,"
Danielle said with sadness in her voice. "Can we come back on the weekend?"

The two women looked at each other, shook their heads and laughed.
"You never know when we will get more dogs. Unfortunately, there's
always a supply," the volunteer said.
Danielle took her mother by the hand and headed to the door. "Don't worry, I'll find one this weekend," she said.
Over the next few days both mom and dad had long conversations with her. They both felt she was being too particular. "It's this weekend or we're not looking any more," Dad finally said in frustration.

"We don't want to hear anything more about puppy size either," Mom added.
Sure enough, they were the first ones in the shelter on Saturday
morning. By now Danielle knew her way around, so she ran right for the section that housed the smaller dogs. Tired of the routine, mom sat in the small waiting room at the end of the first row of cages. There was an observation window so you could see the animals during times when visitors weren't permitted. Danielle walked slowly from cage to cage, kneeling periodically to take a closer look. One by one the dogs were brought out and she held each one.
One by one she said, "Sorry, you're not the one."
It was the last cage on this last day in search of the perfect pup.
The volunteer opened the cage door and the child carefully picked up the dog and held it closely. This time she took a little longer.
"Mom, that's it! I found the right puppy! He's the one! I know it!" she screamed with joy. "It's the puppy size!"

"But it's the same size as all the other puppies you held over the
last few weeks," Mom said.
"No not size… the sighs. When I held him in my arms, he sighed," she said.
"Don't you remember? When I asked you one day what love is, you told me love depends on the sighs of your heart. The more you love, the bigger the sigh!"
The two women looked at each other for a moment. Mom didn't know whether to laugh or cry. As she stooped down to hug the child, she did a little of both.
"Mom, every time you hold me, I sigh. When you and Daddy come home from work and hug each other, you both sigh. I knew I would find the right puppy if it sighed when I held it in my arms," she said.

Close your eyes for a moment and think about the love that makes you sigh. I not only find it in the arms of my loved ones, but in the caress of a sunset, the kiss of the moonlight and the gentle brush of cool air on a hot day.

Many blessings.

Remember to Breathe

image

Our body consists of water. However the formula for water is H20. That means that each breath we take moves some hydrogen into water because the oxygen makes it so! It seems then that the deep breathing many of us never do is really a good habit. Breathe in, right to your pelvis, and hold for a count of seven. Breathe out for a count of seven. You guessed it! Repeat this seven times. More oxygen makes your skin look younger and healthier. Oxygen and water make you shine!

Happy November 1 2018

image

The year has flown and we are in count down to the end of 2018.  In Canada, November means that the snow will be arriving, again, and that daylight saving time ends this weekend.  The timing means that we need to think about Remembrance Day, Christmas, and cards.  In the US, it is countdown to Thanksgiving, planning for family and friends, and it is time to think about Black Friday.

These topics may seem frivolous, however, they are part of our annual fabric of life. We set our timing by these events.  The events have become important to us.

As you plan for November, take some time to think about the things that you can do to clean up some messy areas in your life.  Clean a closet.  Make a will.  Update your insurance.  Clean out the garage or basement storage.  You will feel a weight lift from your body that you did not know that you were carrying.

Many blessings.

Walk Freely

image

When I think of walking freely, I hear the words, "go with the flow" because that means that you walk in harmony with the Universe, Mother Nature, and Eternity.  Those that walk in the flow have very fulfilling lives, seem to have a life without obstacles, and appear to be what we call, "lucky".  Yet, luck has nothing to do with it.  It is all about the ability to discern what is right for them.

We tend to go against the "nature of things" because we have work to do, money to make, and a sense of ego about who we are.  We do not feed our bodies wholesome, fresh food.  We pollute.  We allow ourselves to be bullied by governments, corporations and big pharma.  We are driven by fear and scarcity as served up by the media.

When we move back into a conscious balance with ourselves and with nature, then we become whole and unafraid.

Many blessings.

Where I can Sit In Solitude

image

It seems that the answer to finding a longer, better life is to let go of what we know and to venture into what we do not know – what we do not control.  Going out into Nature, into the woods or to sit on a mountain or to climb a tree, releases us from the conditions of time and lets us move into timelessness.

When we move out of time, health is perfect, we love unconditionally, and we are forgiven and we do forgive without noticing how much has changed.

Being at peace with everything makes us of the Earth and reminds us that we need to be caretakers of everything.

Many blessings.

Finding the Soul

image

There is always lots of speculation about the soul in spiritual circles.  What it is – what it does – how it works.  Most of the questions do not really matter.  What matters is that we each have a soul, that it is considered valuable, and that it holds the memories of our past lives.

A healing facilitator says that when we are out of balance that our soul sits outside our body, and, that to rebalance, we need to bring our soul inside our body.  She says that we can do this by being in the woods or by a river and touching the Earth, Water, or Tree, to bring ourselves back into alignment with our soul.

If you cannot get outside, touching your house plants will produce the same effect over a longer period of time.

Many blessings.

Staying in Balance

image

The most difficult part of life, I think, is staying in balance in all things.  Eating too much, sitting too much, exercising too much, worrying too much, sleeping too much… all of these things put us out of balance.  We need to eat, sleep, exercise, and work, in balance with the natural order.  The easiest way to get back to balance is to go outside and touch the earth or touch a tree.

Angels Speak– The Trail to Happiness

image

Wouldn't it be wonderful if we could find a trail or a highway that would lead us to happiness?

I hear so many people saying the phrase "I just want to be happy"! It is difficult to be happy all the time and yet I think it is possible.  I see the wonderful things that are around me, and the family and friends that I have, and the fun that my dog brings, and I realize that I am happy.  Although it may seem like it is outside things that make me feel happy, it is really how I feel inside when I even think of them!

October 2018

image

I think about going into another change of seasons, and I realize that all my life, Nature has been preparing me for changes by changing things up four times a year.  And then, like a meal with salt and pepper, Nature throws in some wind, rain, and some snow to spice up the changes.

There is a harmony to the change that makes it seem more peaceful than harsh. And yes, cold, wet weather can be very harsh.

It is really a very interesting way to live!

When Angry, Pause

image

The time flies when you are angry.  Time goes so quickly when you are spewing all the things that you are thinking without a filter.  And, once you have let loose with all those words, you cannot retract them!

So, when ANGRY, take a moment and pause.  A pause is throwing yourself a life preserver!

I Choose To Pause

image

More and more, I am working in my office and realizing that what I do is really not very important.  What is important is who I am – with or without my work.  What is important are those moments that I pause, and that I am grateful for the wonderful opportunity around me to change my life – to be who I am.

I am grateful.

Pause For Renewal

image

I was reading articles about stillness.  I was trying to get a deeper understanding of what exactly stillness was because so many people seemed to identify it so differently.

I flipped links on Google, and I found this gem of an article.  It comes from Uplift.  The link is here….https://upliftconnect.com/the-power-of-pause/?utm_source=UPLIFT&utm_campaign=b6d28e78f6-EMAIL_CAMPAIGN_2018_09_13_09_30&utm_medium=email&utm_term=0_19c1fc07c2-b6d28e78f6-113379021.  Here is an excerpt from the article.

We are starving for stillness and silence in our culture. Doesn’t it seem like there is noise and chaos everywhere? The truth is that the world is not going to slow down and get less noisy simply because you want it to. You have to commit to taking time to pause. I’ve grown to appreciate that pausing truly is golden. Taking breaks settle me in a matter of minutes.

I didn’t always feel this way.

I used to surround myself with noise. I’d fall asleep with the television blaring, have pop music playing in my car and home, and talk, talk, talk until my throat was sore. Now I seek silence every day and I encourage you to do the same.

This struck a chord in me and around me.  This… this is what they are talking about "in stillness".

The Bee and Jupiter

image

This is a great little teaching story about wanting power and control.

The Bee and Jupiter

A BEE from Mount Hymettus, the queen of the hive, ascended to Olympus to present Jupiter with some honey fresh from her combs.

Jupiter, delighted with the offering of honey, promised to give whatever she should ask.

She therefore besought him, saying, "Give me, I pray thee, a sting, that if any mortal shall approach to take my honey, I may kill him."

Jupiter was much displeased, for he loved the race of man, but could not refuse the request because of his promise.

He thus answered the Bee: "You shall have your request, but it will be at the peril of your own life. For if you use your sting, it shall remain in the wound you make, and then you will die from the loss of it."

Evil wishes, like chickens, come home to roost.

RECIPE–HEALTHY FRUIT AND VEGGIE CRACKER

image

As we get more into Fall, there is an abundance of great, fresh vegetables and fruits available for making all sorts of dishes.  And, if you are like me, something new, gluten free, and easy to make, is the type of recipe that I am looking for.  Luckily, I found this recipe many years ago.  I am now sharing it with you!

Walk in peace,

Judith

HEALTHY FRUIT AND VEGGIE CRACKER

This is a great versatile cracker/thin bread that just goes with everything!

Ingredients:

  • 1 1/2 C walnuts
  • 1 1/2 C almonds
  • 1/4 C ground flax seeds soaked in 3/4 C water for 1 hour
  • 3/4 C ground sesame seeds
  • 2 LG carrots
  • 1/4 C red bell pepper (optional)
  • 2 ribs of celery
  • 1 pear, cored but not peeled
  • 1 small beet, peeled and chopped
  • 1 C fresh cranberries
  • 1/2 orange (peeling included), seeds removed
  • 1 1/2 C water
  • 1/2 C olive oil
  • 2 tsp. sea salt
  • 1 tsp. lemon pepper

Preparation:

Grind nuts in food processor and place in a large bowl. Continue processing and adding ingredients until all are added. Mix well. Your mixture will be a kind of "rose" pink. Pour out to about 1/4" thickness onto dehydrator sheets and dehydrate for about 3 hours @ 115 degrees. Flip and continue drying for another 6 hours. If you want a crispier cracker, spread thin and dry for additional time.

If you do not have a dehydrator, pour on to cookie sheets covered with parchment paper, and use a setting of 190 degrees. Flip after 3 hours, depending on how crispy you like your crackers.

Angels Speak - Patience

image

The Angels say that humans have little patience for most things. Everyone is always in a hurry.  If one's path gets blocked, they have no patience and turn to anger to resolve the situation.  This trait was the beginning of road rage.  People traveling have no patience for someone who is a more cautious driver or simply a slower driver.

Humans are like that with their food, their sports, and their jobs.  Everyone wants everything instantly, and without road blocks.

Those who have patience, are generally without ego, and are able to "go with the flow".  They are on their way to that mindfulness and acceptance of life.  Very little slows them down.

The Illusive Happiness

image

The topic of happiness comes up again and again.  Happiness is a different "thing" to each individual and therefore, it is hard to quantify or to describe.

Some of the things that people say make them happy:

  • Completing a job that is well done
  • Hiking with friends or with my dog
  • Having a meal with family/good friends
  • Watching my child grow and change
  • Playing the piano
  • Watching a movie
  • Baking
  • Surveying which is part of my job

All these offerings of happiness show the uniqueness of each individual's specific "happy".

Today, try to find those moments that make you happy!

Many blessings.

Angels Speak - If You Are Happy

image

The Angels say that if you are happy, then you will be happy anywhere.  They say that the sad part of life is most humans look to find happiness outside of themselves.  The unhappy people look to find a person, or thing, or job, or location, that will make them happy.

The Angels say that the happiness, the joy of life, must come from within.  Happiness is a choice, regardless of your circumstances.

That last bit – regardless of your circumstances – is a bit hard for most of us to swallow.  We believe/feel that "something" is against us and that we have the challenge that we are facing.

The truth of happiness seems to be that it is illusive for many, for various reasons.

Many blessings.

A Great Writing About Attitudes

image

Attitudes

“The longer I live, the more I realize the impact of attitude on life. Attitude, to me, is more important than facts. It is more important than the past, the education, the money, than circumstances, than failure, than successes, than what other people think or say or do. It is more important than appearance, giftedness or skill. It will make or break a company… a church… a home. The remarkable thing is we have a choice everyday regarding the attitude we will embrace for that day. We cannot change our past… we cannot change the fact that people will act in a certain way. We cannot change the inevitable. The only thing we can do is play on the one string we have, and that is our attitude. I am convinced that life is 10% what happens to me and 90% of how I react to it. And so it is with you… we are in charge of our Attitudes.”

Spirit Speaks - Beat the Blahs

image

As the summer draws to an end, sometimes, we suffer from the blahs.

I have a solution for the blahs that also qualifies under “love” and is guaranteed to make you feel fine. Anyone that has studied with me knows that I believe in the power of meditation – not only “the sit in silence and let your mind be blank” meditation; I believe in active meditation.

Active meditation means that you need to be part of the meditation and not have the meditation “happen” to you. Over the years, I have taught variations of the “LOVING KINDNESS” meditation. I have recently learned this one and wish to share it with you.

Say it out loud when sitting in meditation. Say it out loud as a walking meditation, even when you walk your dog. My dog loves it! Say it at night before you go to bed.

May I be free from inner and outer harm and danger. May I be safe and protected. May I be free of mental suffering or distress. May I be happy.

May I be free of physical pain and suffering. May I be healthy and strong. May I be able to live in this world happily, peacefully, joyfully, with ease!

This is actually the first step in the “loving kindness” meditation. However, it is a beautiful, empowering, feel good message that lets you feel fine.

Don’t give up if you do not feel a shift in the first several days. Persevere!

Many blessings!

Buddha Speaks–The Raft is not the Shore

image

This week has been a series of small challenges… all solvable, but each its own challenge.  Sometimes, that is overwhelming.  It makes me think of this little teaching by Buddha.

The Raft Is Not the Shore

The teaching is merely a vehicle to explain the truth. Don't mistake it for the truth itself. The teaching is like the raft that carries you to the other shore. The raft is needed, but the raft is not the other shore.

An intelligent person would not carry the raft on his head once he reaches the other shore. Use my teaching to help you get to the other shore, but do not hang onto it as your property. You must be able to let it go. — Buddha

Spirit Animal – Canada Goose

“The wild geese take flight low along the railroad tracks in the moonlight night.” Haiku written by Shiki

image

The Canada Goose is a wild goose native to the Arctic and Canada, and parts of the US. It has a black head and neck, white patches on the face, and a brownish-gray body. Goose lives for a life span of ten to twenty four years in the wild, and longer in captivity. In 2005, two writers, Farid A. Muna and Ned Mansour wrote a fascinating article entitled, “Leadership Lessons Learned From Canada Geese”. A synopsis of the article, as listed by Emerald Group Publishing Limited, shows that Goose is worth emulating.

“The first lesson is: work as a team: Canada Geese migrate long distances flying in V-formation. This formation results in lesser wind resistance, which allows the whole flock to add around 70 percent greater flying range than if each bird flew alone. Geese find out quickly that it pays handsomely to be team players. Second, wise leadership: when the leader at the apex of the V gets tired, it is relieved by another goose. Leaders rotate, empower, delegate, and even step down when it's in the best interest of the team. How often do we see this taking place among organizational leaders? Wise leaders ensure that their followers are well trained and developed in order to achieve true empowerment and smooth succession processes. Third, humane behavior: if a goose drops to the ground when it gets hurt or sick, two of its colleagues go down with it to take care of it until it either gets healthier or dies. In this fast-paced and competitive age, we seldom see managers going out of their way to help colleagues who are in trouble. In organizations, morale, productivity, and loyalty increase when employees are treated humanely.”

So, how does your team leader measure up to Goose. If you are the leader, are you as compassionate and as wonderful a team player as Goose?

Many Blessings.

What Do You Let Into Your Life

What a world we live in!  So beautiful because of the mountains, and oceans, forests, and so sad because of the destruction, hate and violence.

The Angels say that hate is seed planted by the darkness when a person is at their most vulnerable.  The hate is then directed at all things.

The only defense against hate is to use light and love in your life, and to use this to keep the hate out.  This is necessary because if hate is allowed in, like rot in an apple, hate will take over the being.

We all deserve love and light, and we are the only ones that can let it into our lives.

Many blessings.

More on Self Care

The Angels keep saying that we need to pay more attention to ourselves – to our bodies, – to our health, – to our mental and spiritual growth.

The Best Day of Your Life

image

I think that we often forget that we are in charge of our own lives.  When people try to manipulate you for their own agenda, the manipulation only works if we let them.  So many people, especially our families, use guilt and blame to manipulate us into doing their bidding.

Today, when someone tries manipulation on you, see if it works if you say, "That does not work with my immediate plans.  I am sorry. Here is my suggestion."  Use discretion when saying this.  It may not work with a boss or co-worker because you may need to come up with a different phrase for them.  Still, all of us need to find a way to live our lives and go about our daily tasks with our own agenda at the top of what needs to happen.

Many blessings.

We All Get A Different Question Paper For Life

image

The Angels talk about the way so many people imitate someone else.  Instead of trying new things that are unique, they mimic what someone else has done, or is wearing, or is experiencing.

The Angels call this a human tragedy.  With all the millions of people on Earth, instead of doing new things, people are content with the brainwashing of the media and the celebrities who push their ideas, clothing, makeup, and endorsements on the world.

No wonder so many people fail at life.

On Being Alone

image

Each of us has had the experience of being alone or at least, feeling very alone. Our spouse/boyfriend/girlfriend may walk away from a long term relationship. A spouse/loved one may die. Our children or our best friend moves away. All of these things make us feel alone. Some of us just feel blue. Others have a "pity party" and indulge in the feeling and then move on. Others fall into depression.

The angels say to call on them when you have this very lonely feeling. They have the perfect remedy. When you call on them, they will pop the name of someone who is also feeling lonely, into your head, and give you the thought to call this person. Once you start chatting, the feeling of loneliness starts to fade. You are a light being and as you spread light, there is only warmth and peace. And, you are not alone.

Many Blessings!

Seeking Adventure

image

Sometimes, we over think things in our lives, and talk ourselves out of doing "stuff" for this reason or that reason.

The Universe is set up so that everything is perfect!  So whether we take a job and do not stay at it for long, or if we meet the person that we think we can live with forever, and it ends suddenly, it IS all perfect.  Each part of the weaving of life is an adventure that provides us with experience that we do not know we will need until much later in life.

The Universe does a fantastic job of prepping us for what is to come.  And yes, even addictions and crime play a part in the weaving of life.  Each of those themes is something that we must learn in this lifetime, either as a balance for what has been or for what is to come.

Many blessings.

Comparing Self to Others

image

A big lesson that many of us have to learn is that we cannot keep comparing ourselves to other people.  If we were all exactly the same, then we could compare.  Since each of us is unique, comparison does not work.

In fact, the Angels say, that when we start comparing ourselves to others, we are really reacting to a mirror of a part of ourselves that we have not yet dealt with, and that we need to put to rest.  That is a huge idea!

In comparing to others, we are pulling out the parts of us that need to be worked on.  Whether it is physical, mental, emotional, or spiritual work, when a comparison pops up, now is the time to do the work.

Ask yourself:

Why is this comparison of "xxxx" so important to me?
  • Why do I need to learn this at this time in my life?
  • What is the bigger lesson here?
  • Who else is affected by my lesson?

Many blessings.

July 12 Partial Solar Eclipse

image

Picture of Partial Solar Eclipse

An eclipse brings change.  Read the following information, and then go and read the whole article.

This is from the site - https://astrologyking.com/solar-eclipse-july-2018-2/

The New Moon on Thursday July 12, 2018 at 20° Cancer is a partial solar eclipse. The Solar Eclipse July 2018 astrology is influenced by a powerful opposition to minor planet Pluto. This indicates some sort of crisis with your self-esteem, a relationship or an event. An equally intense fixed star brings the potential for neurotic distress triggered by a deeply buried subconscious fear of disaster.

The July 2018 Solar Eclipse signals the right time to transform something in your life holding you back from happiness and success. A fortunate Grand Trine configuration allows you to apply this transformation to your love life, finances or creative work. Hard work and determination will unleash the potential and opportunity held within the grand trine to help avert a personal crisis.

Nourishing Ourselves

image

The Angels say that we must nourish ourselves continuously as we move through the next several years.  The changing energies, weather, and fluctuations in our abilities will cause us to feel very tired and almost depressed unless we take care of ourselves.

We are in a beautiful time of change.  We see the light move around us and we see new acts of kindness and goodness.  In the upheaval, we see Nature take on a new role where she spews out lava, rocks the world with earthquakes, and drowns the Earth with rain or drought.  We can get through all of this with a little self care.

Many blessings.

Self Care

image

I have been quite busy with work and family stuff.  The Angels have been telling me that I need to make sure that as well as taking care of others and other things, that I must take care of myself.  They say that I need more rest and more fun.  I am planning some fun things!

As always, when I need something to spur me to action, a nifty article comes my way. Here is a fantastic meditation or mantra on self care from Louise Hay.

I love my body.
My body is perfect for me at this time. My body weight is also perfect. I am exactly where I choose to be. I am beautiful, and every day I become more attractive. This concept used to be very hard for me to accept, yet things are changing now that I am treating myself as if I were someone who was deeply loved. I’m learning to reward myself with healthy little treats and pleasures now and again. Little acts of love nurture me, doing things that I really like, such as quiet time, a walk in nature, a hot soothing bath, or anything that really gives me pleasure. I enjoy caring for myself. I believe it is okay to like myself and to be my own best friend. I know my body is filled with star light and that I sparkle and glow everywhere I go.

Let's Talk About Kindness

image

I often wonder how people were raised when I see people act unkindly to others.  I wonder why bullying in schools, and via social media, has gotten to be such a huge problem.  Bullying is so unkind.  And then, I wonder why so many people have decided that they must kill other people that they know.  This is the ultimate unkindness.

The light is an amazing gift – that is – the light to be kind, courteous, mindful, and compassionate.  The light helps people to be kind to others and to recognize the "right" thing to do.  A good example of goodness/kindness is three people in Toronto who rushed to lift a blind person from the train tracks where the person had fallen off the platform.  One of the heroes said, "It was the right thing to do!"

Kindness and the ability to be kind is being tested harder than it has ever been tested in the history of mankind.  How will you answer the call to be kind?

Many blessings.
