Picture of Kwan Yin from
Last night, in our New Moon Meditations, we were graced with the presence of Kwan Yin who arrived to teach us lessons on compassion, and to open up our hearts to be more compassionate.
Now, Kwan Yin’s name is spelled many different ways. However, her ability to teach and influence surpasses any issues about how her name is spelled or about which religion she belongs to. As an Ascended Master and representative of Great Spirit/Creator, she has a brilliant way of showing each of us the lessons that we need to learn. Here is how she did this.
After we had opened sacred space, Kwan Yin came in to our circle and had each of us give our definition of what “compassion” meant. As you can imagine, we had many different definitions – all which were correct or “true”. For some of us, compassion, or lack of it, may increase our karma (how we react to a situation), or, it may increase our ability to show love in this life.
Kwan Yin’s next process was to take us into a meditation where she showed each of us individual acts of compassion upon the Earth, often in situations where we might judge that the acts were not compassionate. Some of these actions, especially those of animals, were inspiring and created “aha” moments. She then showed each of us those times in our own lives where we acted with compassion, often without mindfulness, but rather on instinct.
The second meditation for the evening was my favourite. Kwan Yin took us to different parts of the world to show us different situations. She then gave a bit of explanation about the situation, and finally, she gave us a “how to” interact in these situations so that we may be helpful and compassionate. Our destinations were:
- The Alberta Wildlife Institute at Madden Alberta
- Calgary at 11th Ave and 3rd Street SE
- The burnt forests of BC (Earth changes)
- Either the flood stricken parts of India or China (Earth changes)
- Iceland (Earth changes)
Each of us saw a different aspect of the situation, and each of us were given a different task that could be done in the situation. To get the complete story, we had to share what we saw and what we got to do or not do.
Our final mediation consisted of Kwan Yin giving each of us a gift of a pearl of compassion that she placed strategically where ever we needed to have it in our bodies – head, throat, heart, solar plexus, back, hands, etc.
To each of you – I invite you to sit in meditation tonight and to call in Kwan Yin to work with you on expanding your compassion for all things.
Namaste,
