This morning, as I opened the patio door to let the dogs out, I realized that something “felt” different. As the dogs jumped off the deck, a strange looking Magpie flew down, and landed on the back of a deck chair, and looked at me. Instead of the white along the underside and up on the back, like the Magpie in the picture, this Magpie was black with two white stripes on his wings. This Magpie was also taller and thinner than most other Magpies.
Magpie, in her glory, sat and looked at me, and then at the dogs, and then at me. She hopped around to face me better. And squawked, and flew off.
It seems she was bringing me a short message. Her message included some different thoughts:
- not everything is as black and white as you think it is. Look for the differences because there is value in this information, too.
- all things are changing, including you and what you do. This is good. You will be prepared for the change over.
- all new ideas must take wing, now, for this is the time of incubation.
The message seems a bit obscure, and yet, has the feeling of truth to it as well.
