Angels Speak - Nature Has Simplicity

image

As spring creeps closer, The Angels tell us to spend more time outside, out in Nature, because the simplicity of nature can balance out the daily stress in everyday life.

The Archangels tell us that there is much healing in Nature and from Nature.  They refer to the natural remedies made from herbs, or weeds, as westerners like to call them, and from the sounds of nature.

The Creator allowed for humans to mix with Nature so that natural oneness might transpire.  For many, oneness never happens.

Where do you want to be today?

Spirit Speaks - Always Take Some Time In Nature

image

When our soul grows weary with all that it is tasked to do, then is the time to walk in Nature.

It is in Nature that we find our rhythm with the Earth returning.  We align our heartbeat with the heartbeat of the Great Mother.  And we know all is well.

Think of this act as the act of the baby snuggling into the mother’s chest so that the baby can hear the heartbeat and know all is well!  This act reinforces the ONENESS between the mother and the child.

As we grow older, we still need to be part of something.  We lose our way and feel alone.  We can change that feeling of aloneness by finding the place in Nature where we feel peaceful and free.  A place where Nature is in service to us and we are in service to her.

Angels Speak - Courage Has Many Definitions

image

Last week, I was fortunate to hear a story about moving on with her life from a very courageous woman.  She had been hurt in a car accident.  At the time of the accident,  the doctors told her family that she probably would not survive.  She was not fully conscious for several months.  During that time, she could choose to stay or to return to the Universe.  She chose to stay, and then had to go through the reintegration process to return to “normal” life. She had physiotherapy and psychotherapy, and all kinds of therapy.  During this, she lost her job, her condo, and many friends.  She kept going. I call that courage.

Courage, the Archangels tell us, has many kinds of forms and definitions.  We are not able to see what are courageous actions and we cannot understand every courageous action or belief.  Many are acts of faith. I look at history and see the journeys that our Ancestors took, and wonder where their courage came from.  Perhaps, like the last blog talked about, they were stuck in a rut, and needed to change.  http://angelsandancestors.blogspot.ca/2015/02/angels-speak-on-being-stuck.html

I wonder if courageous people hear a different life music than the rest of us. Perhaps they have a special blessing or gift that helps them make courageous choices.  Perhaps, they are the stuff of future legends.

Angels Speak - On Being Stuck

image

Lessons on life come from unusual places.  The best lessons come from being in a rut.  For some people, a rut or being stuck, is a safe place to be.  For others of us, a rut is a very bad place to stay.

I compare it to listening to a CD that gets stuck on a scratch or a piece of dirt.  The same part of a song plays over and over until you cannot stand it, and you must change the CD.

Being stuck in a rut means you must make a change.  How to change is the big question.  You really do not know how until you discover what the lesson is.

Yes, it is a paradox.  But, life is like that.

Nature Speaks - On Satisfaction

image

It seems that often I see stories about people who are dissatisfied.  Being dis-satisfied means that one wants something that is not available to them.  It might be material goods, a job, a relationship, or even, abilities of some sort.

My observation is that people that are not satisfied – and I am not talking about athletes who are striving for their best performance and therefore practice constantly – are looking for shortcuts.   The thing about life is that you have to live it. There are not any short cuts.

Nature does not take any shortcuts in the growing cycle.  Healing only happens one way – with time.  Meditators only achieve oneness after hours and hours of meditation practice.  A herb only knows one way to be.  Life may be altered by prayer, and generally, the solution takes time.

The next time you feel dissatisfied, take a walk in Nature.  Life comes back into perspective.

Nature Speaks - The Task For Everyone

image

On Sunday, we took our dog in for his check up for his recent surgery.  We sat with a lovely lady and a very sick looking husky cross puppy.  As we asked what was wrong, we got quite the story.  We listened to this foster dog Mom from AARCS describe the horrors that had been bestowed on two hundred dogs including her puppy,  in the Milk River area.  When the dogs were rescued, they were malnourished, abused, and fur so matted that they could not wag their tails.  The rescuers could not even determine the sex of the animals until they had been shaved.  I listened to the story – it was much longer than my few sentences, and I cried.

Of the two hundred dogs, many are still in foster care.  They are looking for help with covering food costs and medical bills.  If you wish to help these dogs out, please donate at http://aarcs.ca/donate/.  We did, and will again.  I won’t post something like this again.  It was just so unusual.

Angels Speak - Who Are Your Teachers

image

Sometimes, our (life) teachers show up in unexpected places.  Perhaps at social gathering.  Perhaps at a Gala at Shopper’s Drug Mart. Or, perhaps in an airport as you chat with people around you.

What do teachers do?  Life teachers are there to give you guidance on a topic that you wish to find out more about.  They can also provide validity for the thoughts or experiences that you have had.  Sometime, the teacher is there to show you a part of yourself – the mirror of something that is in you that needs to be looked at and dealt with.

Sometimes the teacher stays for several minutes or hours.  Sometimes the teacher stays for years.  I often marvel at how the Universe matches a student and teacher at the exact time that the teaching is needed.

Nature Speaks - How Do You Laugh!

image

At lunch the other day, our team talked about how much we laughed together!  Laughing is a good thing!  It relaxes you. It releases happy gadgets in your body.  It helps you think clearer.  And, of course, we know laughter heals ailments.

I came across this poster, and it made me laugh, because I believe it is true.  Nature spreads out flowers in dribbles, when she wants you to smile, and in blankets when she wants you to laugh.  Walking or hiking, on a mountain is a spiritual way to connect with everything. And on the hike, you will see Mother Nature has ‘planned’ where her flowers grow, no different than the way our mothers used to plan their flower beds.

There are stories, or legends, about how flowers could not grow in the Ocean, and the Ocean, too, wanted flowers.  So Mother Nature made different coral beds and luminescent algae and other small flowers to replicate the flowers on the land.  Sometimes, the combination of flowers, breeze, and birdsong is the most relaxing, healing music one can find.  In this clarity, it is easy to regain one’s faith in life.

Angels Speak - If You Judge People

image

How do you find it in your heart to have compassion for someone who has just spouted vile words at you, for no apparent reason?  How do you find compassion for the person who sits behind Anonymous and writes bullying words and makes threats?  Do we need to find compassion for them?

This was my question for my meditation.  I was finding it hard to understand why someone would want to yell at someone else for no reason.  Or, if you want to be really mean to someone, why not use your name?

I sat and waited for the knowing.  Nothing happened.  I waited some more.  Nothing happened. I waited and sank into a deeper state.  And I had the knowing that frustration and anger at life is a driving emotion that causes Anonymous to post the blogs or for someone you might not even know to shout out at you.

The interesting part of the meditation was that when this situation happens to you or touches you, the Universe (Spirit) is holding up a mirror that shows an aspect of you.

I looked inside for peace.  I looked inside for healing.  I offered gratitude that I was not writing anonymous angry words or going around shouting at people. The Shaman in the legends talk about the angry, crazy person having some hidden wisdom in the meaningless rambling.

I could not find any words of wisdom.  I did find compassion.  How horrible it must be to feel that much pain and to take it out on random people.  I offer blessings to them.

Nature Speaks - On Enjoyment in Life

image

When we do not expect anything, then the unexpected is a beautiful surprise.  We are able to appreciate the very act of Nature that has made our surprise happen.

When I walk out in the park, I hear the birds, the small animals, the sound of the river, and I smell the freshness and newness of everything!

Nature shows us that she is renewable if we humans do not get in the way.  I enjoy that about Mother Earth, her ability to say “This is what I can do! Leave it alone!”

I think that Creator has given us the gift of mindfulness, should we choose to use it, so that we can feel the enjoyment or bliss of a walk in Nature.  Nature calms the soul because at that moment, we are in Oneness with creation.  Then we return to our lives, the business, and we feel the change – the shift in energy. And we go on.

Spirit Animal - Skunk Arrives

image

We were out walking in the park, my dog and I.

We were waiting for the Sun to peek over the trees.

Then we smelled the scent that makes you hurriedly look around because you may end up getting sprayed.

And there he was, looking cheesed right off.

The snow was not gone, and it was still cold and dry.

Yet he trudged on looking for a place he would not freeze.

And he ignored us as the Magpies and my dog ran and played.

Although nothing is ever black and white, it seemed so this morning.

First Magpies and then Mr. Skunk.

Perhaps it is that clear.

Skunk and Magpie show that the elemental colours are between black and white, and all the rainbow colours in between.

Perhaps, with the snow and the dark wood and the companions, Nature was saying that nothing is as it seems.

I buy that.

Angels Speak - Letting The Past Go Simplifies Things

image

One of my friends read my blog from the other day, and sent me this poster about letting go of the past.  It is awesome!

It talks about what is in the past that can anchor us from moving forward.

We all have had grudges.  Have you let go of yours?

We all have had anger and probably still do.  How do you handle yours?

We all have things that people said that belittled us and limit us.  How do you let go of those things?

If you have trouble letting go, just take a look at Nature.  Each season is a change.  There is not any hanging on. Time is not relevant.  It is simply a cycle of letting go.  It is beautiful.

This is a good month to change.

Spirit Animal - Grandmother Spider’s Words

image

I had this crazy dream about spiders and spider webs.  I was wandering in this big garden type forest.  I felt comfortable but was suspicious that something was not quite right about the place I was in.

I saw the word in a spider web – FAITH.  I was not sure if that was about faith in the dream or in my ability to see, or what it meant.

I then walked further and saw the word – BEAUTY.  And, all around, there was beauty.

I walked on and came to a small stream, flowers growing on the bank, the sound of birds, and I saw the word – BLESSING.  Yes, it truly was.

I woke up feeling quite content.  I felt the peace that one gets walking in Nature, although I am pretty sure I did not leave my bed.  I felt that I had been gifted by the Goddess and Mother Nature with an extraordinary adventure.

It also made me think of that great book, Charlotte’s Web, and the fun that people have had over the years with that book and with the movie.

I was feeling pretty happy by the time I went to work.  I was mindful that Spider had come in as an animal guide, and was reminding me of things that I may take for granted.  I was reminded that Great Spirit is in everything.

I am grateful.

Angels Speak - Carting Around The Past

image

I was having a bad day.  When I have a bad day, the Angels seem to appear to give me something else to think about.  A bad day, for me, is when things do not flow smoothly.  There are blocks. Even little things like we are out of my favourite chai tea latte in the kitchen at work.

Going back to the Angels….  they reminded me that when we hang on to something or become attached ( read my favourite tea), we constantly set ourselves up for failure and disappointment.  Then I saw the poster above, and I had this moment of clarity around the past, and around attachment.

Later, to make sure that I really got the message, the Angels sent me an OSHO Zen Tarot card called “Clinging To The Past”.  See it below.  Being blocked will limit your abundance.  The clear message is that change is required.  Creator will help you with your healing, however, some Meditation – a chance to listen to Creator (or the Universe) is required.

image

The write up is pretty impressive.  Here is part of it.

The figure pictured in this card is so preoccupied with clutching her box of memories that she has turned her back on the sparkling champagne glass of blessings available here and now. Her nostalgia for the past really makes her a 'blockhead', and a beggar besides, as we can see from her patched and ragged clothes. She needn't be a beggar, of course--but she is not available to taste the pleasures that offer themselves in the present.

It's time to face up to the fact that the past is gone, and any effort to repeat it is a sure way to stay stuck in old blueprints that you would have already outgrown if you hadn't been so busy clinging to what you have already been through. Take a deep breath, put the box down, tie it up in a pretty ribbon if you must, and bid it a fond and reverent farewell. Life is passing you by, and you're in danger of becoming an old fossil before your time!

- from Osho, THe Great Zen Master Ta Hui, Chapter 10.

When something appears to you several times in a week, then pay attention.  If something appears several times in a day, you are being smacked over the head to get your attention.

This was telling me about clinging to the past.  What does it mean to you?

Special thanks to http://kathryn.mnsi.net/ for having the Osho Zen cards available.
