On Being Fear-Less

The hardest part of growing up, I think, is adjusting to how many things one must/should be afraid of.  When we are very young, we are fearless.  Our parents and siblings teach us about fear and that we should fear what we do not know.

The Google Dictionary says that fear is:

an unpleasant emotion caused by the belief that someone or something is dangerous, likely to cause pain, or a threat.
"he is prey to irrational fears"

To move through life, we need to be in harmony with our surroundings and we need to be fear-less.  First, we do need fear.  It helps us in dangerous situations.  Second, we have way too much fear in our lives and we need to reduce it.

We learn to fear being outside, the future, fast vehicles, slow vehicles, anything or anybody that is different, to name a few of the fears.  And we have not talked about fear of different insects and snakes.  We even fear things that we only imagine might happen.

How do we become fear-less?  We work on being confident and on healing our fears.  We work on the source of the fear and even the karmic situations from past lives that have created the fear in this lifetime.  We work and we progress.

Many blessings!
