Spirit Animal – Chickadee’s Reminder

image

It is winter, now in the foothills and the Rocky Mountains of Alberta.  Snow covers the ground and many tree branches.  Chickadee is hardy, and stays the winter. She loves to be warm however, and needs to eat slightly more in the winter to keep her body heat up.  At night, she may drop her body temperature by five to ten degrees to conserve energy.  Chickadee has some thoughts to share.

  • We Chickadees always share our food and food caches.  We say to you that you need to share food with us and with other animals because this winter will have lots of snow.  When you learn to share with us, you learn to share with each other, with more grace.  You are learning compassion and expanding love.
  • The snow reflects the sunlight and the moonlight.  Take a walk in the snow, in a park, and experience the different light energy frequencies that are in the air.  You will be energized.  The feeling only lasts several hours because each of you have many layers of “tired”, and “should” and “must” that the light frequencies need to go through.  Find that place where you enjoy the outdoors (especially where there are chickadees) and give yourself some nature medicine.

Spirit Animal – Owl In The Woods

image

This picture of an owl comes from an email so the source is unknown.

Owl is a night-time creature so we do not expect to see it during the day.  However, when Owl has pressing messages, she will fly at any time.  Owl has these messages to share.

“Owls have very good vision.  It is time to practice improving your vision.  Do not look only ahead.  Look to the sides.  Increase the flexibility of your neck and shoulders, and learn to look behind you.  What comes up behind you is as important as what is ahead.”

“Owls sit in the branches of trees and watch the ground to spot tasty morsels to eat.  This is also a good way to observe the patterns of animal  life on the ground.  Take time to get up high or to step back ten paces from your life so that you can see your daily routine objectively.  What is it that you do over and over that gives you no pleasure and no gain?  Why do you do it?  What old pattern drives this?  Think about what you can do differently.”

“Owls operate best at night and in the early morning because that is our high energy time.  Do you shun the night and the early morning?  This is the high energy time for humans too.  You feel the pull of the Sun and the pull of the stars and planets.  This is the time to gather the energy of peace.  Try changing your routine for three months to see when you feel like you have more energy and will.  Do you feel better on your current routine or getting up earlier, for example, at 5:30am?”

Buddha Speaks – Talking About Enlightenment

image

A student once asked his teacher, "Master, what is enlightenment?"
The master replied, "When hungry, eat. When tired, sleep."

Spirit Animal – Elephant Thoughts

image

Elephant says:

“The number of elephants is decreasing.  We are killed needlessly for what people believe is valuable – our ivory.  Our true value is in the work that we do for the Earth.  We thrum the resonance of life as we move through our day.  This thrum or hum is echoed by our cousins, the whales.  We move the vibration of the Earth ever higher and maintain the first grid around the Earth.

This grid keeps peace and allows growth and evolution.  It allows the Spirit Animals to connect with each other and with their bond humans.  It allows people to be more harmonious and grateful.  As our numbers have diminished, massive loss of human life through human against human occurs.  And, many animals and fish and birds are hunted to extinction because the balance is broken.

We live in the savannahs because in these wide open spaces, we broadcast more easily.  Our sound carries a healing vibration to it that will move around the planet.

When you sit in meditation, invite us, the Elephants, into your circle.  Ask us to share our song with you, and then you, too may help in broadcasting this vibration.  See how it changes you and those around you.  It is a wonderful thing, to be in service to something greater than one’s self.”

Spirit Animal – Jaguar Strength

jaguar spotted in tree

Picture is from “Big Cat Wallpaper”

The Aztecs and Mayans regarded Jaguar as a symbol of strength and leadership since Jaguar is at the top of the food chain.  The royal families regarded Jaguar as sacred, and claimed that she walked the Royal Ones between the worlds of the living and the dead.  The Royal Ones would seek counsel from their dead Ancestors and needed protection to move between the worlds.  Shaman in South and Central America see Jaguar as the spirit of the jungle for it is she who controls the different species population.

Jaguar regularly gave advice to the Royal Ones.  Now, she has advice for you.

  • Jaguar does not exert herself unnecessarily.  She stalks her prey, and then goes ahead and ambushes the animal.  She tells you that you need to decide what your goal is, and do the required ground work, and then wait for the goal to be achieved.  Constantly redirecting your effort to the goal creates road blocks. By moving behind her prey, Jaguar links with the animal and creates a Oneness.  Do you have Oneness with those you work with, or socialize with?
  • Jaguar swims as much as possible – the water keeps her cool and provides easy exercise to keep her muscles toned for short runs and for climbing.  She says to you, get a better exercise program going.  Try swimming.  It will allow you to exercise without stress.  Warm water is the best for you will not get cramps.  The time in the water will sweep away toxins in your body.
  • Jaguar spends time in trees, both to hunt from a high vantage point, and to observe Nature, and the movements of animals and of humans.  By watching the way that the animals move through the jungle, and the times that they move, Jaguar changes her hunting habits in an intelligent way.  She asks whether you observe the flow of people and of energy around you.  Do you know what energy/people affect you?  Do you know who gets in your way?  How can you redirect your life to stay out of the path that is not comfortable and move onto a path that benefits you?
