One of the interesting things in life, is, what you remember, and how you remember it. Things that I remember from my childhood, for example, are moments that are special to me. My brothers and sisters don’t remember them.
“Remember” derives from Latin – memorari - to be mindful of. (http://www.merriam-webster.com/dictionary/remember) What are the things that we are mindful of? The items that most people remember are:
- times someone hurt or wronged them
- birthdays
- Christmas or other holiday celebrations
- family – special grandparents, aunts, or uncles
- pets
- travel to other places
- shared moments with friends
Often, these memories are more painful than happy. My challenge to you today, is to remember all the happy moments in your life.
Blessings,
Judy
