Mother Earth Speaks - A Spring Tune–Up

image

I have been hearing and seeing that we humans are not very healthy this year, as we come into Spring.  As I was sitting in meditation, I received guidance from different sources, about what we can do to improve how we are feeling.  This is a list of items that is not everything that you can do; however, it is easy things to do.

Rest!  Do your best to be to sleep by 10 o’clock each night, and allow at least 8 hours for a full-night’s sleep

Don’t push your reserves through the use of stimulants.  Try eating meals rich in cooked and raw vegetables, healthy proteins and nourishing fats.  This will replenish much-needed minerals, vitamins and fatty acids.  Try adding a spoonful of coconut oil to your cooking to perk you up!

Start your day with a protein meal  A couple of free-range eggs with olive oil or coconut oil, and greens,  covered with a tablespoon of plain yogurt, and a spoonful of soaked pumpkin seeds, will provide the energy you need later in the day.

Exercise moderately   This is a great time to take a 20-minute walk daily, and to do interval training 2-3 times a week.  You’ll get your lymph flowing and burn some of your winter fat, while not causing too much oxidative stress in your tissues.

Stay warm!  Don’t waste your energy shivering!  Wear layers. Wear a hat.  Don’t lose body heat through improper dressing for the outdoors (or even for indoors).

Eat foods and drink liquids that are warm, or at least room temperature  Avoid iced and cold foods.  This further pulls on the body’s reserves.

Many blessings,
