This year's autumn equinox was powerful... it was about shifting power.
Karen Bishop of www.whatsuponplanetearth.com very clearly spells out what is happening.... "As the equinox of September 22nd draws near, so will our shifting and connecting to things new. Brighter and better things will depend upon each and every one of us now, more than ever before, as we are the ultimate creators. Connecting to our passion, to our true and authentic selves, to what makes us feel great, and to good and special friends are the ultimate ways to connect to more light. And knowing who we really and truly are, while bringing that gift to the planet, will automatically place us in one big and awesome alignment."
Our equinox celebration took place with a pot luck dinner followed by the ceremony - outside, around a gorgeous spirit fire filled with white and blue and purple, inside a sacred circle which had been powered up earlier by two of my students and by me. We had a very special number of people - 11 of us on the 22 of September. Both eleven and twenty-two are considered to be "master" numbers which mean that there is a very high vibrational and spiritual connection to the Divine.
Indeed this was the case on the Equinox. Great Spirit was very helpful in the setting up of the circle, the placing of the logs and the gate (we entered from the East), and in giving the students guidance and vision for the future. Even though it poured all during dinner, Great Spirit insisted that we do the ceremony outside, and advised that the rain would stop. Our ceremony was set for 8:OO PM and at twenty to eight, the rain stopped. The wood burned, and the rainbow of colours in the fire was beautiful.
Each person was granted the release of something that was holding them back, given approval for what they were working on for their fall and winter rest, and they were granted a blessing for someone else. At the end of the ceremony, we all joined hands and linked our purpose to provide a healing for Mother Earth in and around the City of Calgary.
