Keeping Our Body In Balance

IMGP0597

Rosehips are on the more acidic side and do not qualify as alkaline.  Picture by Judith Hirst-Joyeux.

Many articles are written about keeping our bodies in balance by reducing stress and increasing our time for ourselves.  Studies show that men and women are in over drive as they work to the extreme and live on fast food and on processed food.  The result is that our bodies become very acidic - our bodies are not in balance.

Dr. Simoncini from Italy, specializes in oncology, diabetology, and metabolic disorders.  He has made some breakthroughs in treating cancer.  One of his discoveries is that cancer is acidic.  And, by keeping our bodies in pH balance, using alkaline foods, we can avoid cancer, which he says is a fungus that thrives in acidic conditions.  See some highlights of his work at http://www.cancerisafungus.com/

To help people put this into perspective, I have included a partial list of  acidic food versus alkaline food.  Like most people, I eat many of the foods that are on the acidic list.  However, I am now consciously making the switch to eating a healthier bunch of foods based on the alkaline list.

A partial list of Acidic Foods:

  • Corn
  • Meat
  • Beans
  • Fish
  • Fowl
  • Most grains
  • Coffee
  • Plums
  • Prunes
  • Cranberries

A partial list of Alkaline Foods:
    Almonds
    Beets and Greens
    Broccoli
   Celery
   Chard
    Onions
   Spinach

A partial list of Alkaline Fruits:
    Apples
    Apricots
    Sour Cherries
    Dried Figs
    Lemons
    Limes
    Oranges
    Peaches

May you bring your body in balance to feel healthy, whole and complete.

Judith
