Angels Speak - From The Mountain Tops

 

One of the most beautiful spots on Earth will be in the mountains. It will be beautiful in that moment with that particular Sun on it, in that season.  It is the beauty of truth and wisdom that is so clear in Nature.  Creator made the mountains so that we would understand awe and majesty, and yet will attempt to climb what creates awe in us.

Mountains are the impossible, the improbable, and the achievable.  We may not climb Everest.  Yet each of us faces mountains each day.  We find ways to scale them.  We salute them.  We make them our friends.

Identify your mountain.  Find a way to climb it.  Share that story with your friends.

Angels Speak–Be A Power of One

 

 

I remember the first time that I heard that one person can make a difference.  I was still in high school.  My English teacher was talking about the power of one.  She said that all it takes is one person to take a stand against something that is very wrong; that wrongness offends everyone whether morally, ethically, or in plain old goodness.  If one person turns away from taking a stand, then others will too.  If one person makes a stand, then, again, others will as well.

It takes great courage to be a power of one.  Our world history is full of those types of people – those who take a stand.  What will you stand for today?

Spirit Speaks - Finding Your Way Home

 

The discussion began with trying to define where home is. Silly as it sounds, do we define “home” as where we live now, or where our parents live, or, where we were born?  We all had different definitions.  One that I quite liked was that home was where your loved one – spouse – was.  It occurred to me as we talked, that none of us knew where our home was, exactly.  I thought that was strange.  Our society is really caught up in identifying where you come from.  In most places, you would come from your home. 

And, if you don’t know where your home is, then how can you find your way back there?

Buddha Speaks–Patience

 

I am impatient!  I was born that way.  I am impatient with myself and with others.  I do not remember that each of us has their own blueprint that says “I do things in this way.”.  I believe that everyone should be doing the things that I do in the way that I do them.  That, my friends, is EGO.  Yes, you are correct if you are thinking that impatience is born of ego.  They do go hand in hand.  We all have some measure of impatience and ego.  It causes arguments because EGO needs to be right all the time.  It causes wars because Ego needs to be right.  Ego will throw Harmony out the window in a fit of impatience.

Angels Speak - Who Are You?

 

Life is a stage because in the Shaman’s world, the everyday world is the dream, and the dream time lets you poke up into what is really going on.

You have heard the saying that you each create your own reality.  When we create our reality, we are writing, directing and editing our own stage show.  Most often it is a drama.  Are you surprised?  Have you not wondered about all the little details that don’t add up to a major event?  Sometimes the major event just seems to happen out of nothing.

If you are creating a world that is pulling you down, change it!

Angels Speak - Start Now

 

It does not matter whether you are looking to change your career, your health, your attitude, or your spirituality – you need to start today.  We are all so used to the “instant” world that we often forget that it takes time to build an iPhone app or an Android app.  It takes time to grow a vegetable, a flower, and a tree.  If we want to make changes to our lives then we need to start with planting the seed of change.  We need to nurture it.  We need to give it time to let it grow.  You know this.

However, we get lazy.  We want instant results.  We think we have failed if something doesn’t happen for us in five minutes. 

HOW will you change that today?

There must be something going around - a virus - that makes you want to change and to be more than you are today.  I caught it from several of my friends.  They say they caught it in different places.  It feels clean and cleansing.  Maybe you will catch it.

Spirit Animal -- Cougar Blessings

I felt the call and the pull of the wild.  I felt the snarl and the low growl deep in my throat.  I felt the deepness of the stare.  There she sat.  On a rock.  She was majestic, and scary, and awfully big.

As though she could read my mind, she seemed to grin. Or, maybe she was getting ready to snack - on me - the thought crossed my mind.

She then stretched and seemed to purr.  I felt peace.  I felt the grace of her presence.  I felt her blessing.

"May you hunt with stealth so that you capture food.
May you have a warm cave to sleep in out of the wind and the rain.
May you find warm rocks in the Sun to sleep on.
May remain invisible to man"

And she left.

Spirit Animal - Giraffe's View From The Top

The Giraffe seemed to move in and out of the edge of my vision.  It was very tall, at least eighteen to twenty feet tall!  She moved with a quiet grace and nibbled on some leaves.  One set of leaves must have been bitter because she spit it out.

She indicated that she had some messages for me.

• Regardless of how high you fly, one must stay grounded,  Touch the ground - not concrete or wood or other material - the ground, daily.
• Before you get too caught up in the emotion of something, go to the sky high view and look around.  You might see something that you were missing.
• It doesn't matter whether your steps are large or small, it is taking the step that moves you forward.

Spirit Speaks - Prayer Frees the Soul

The past few days have been long and filled with new information.  It becomes harder to concentrate.  All you want to do is sleep.  You feel like you are drowning in the mass of "stuff" and the mass of weight of people wanting things from you.  Even sleep does not seem to bring relief.

How can you handle this?

Spirit Speaks - The Mirror Image

Are we all afraid of eternity?  I think the answer is yes.  Our society is not doing a good job of convincing us that we all want to live eternally.

Instead, we buy into the idea of living eternally on Earth in the form of a vampire or other supernatural creature that has become so popular in the TV shows currently on each channel.  Why do we believe something that is make believe and yet cannot get our heads around something that has been true for thousands of years?

I have heard many reasons.  Religion, society, work ethic, war, not war, economics, greed... they all may be part of it.

As the poster says, "We are the mirror!"

When we can overlook all that goes on in our lives, and avoid the drama, we can see "Happy".  It is not something in the past or the future.  It is a present moment thing.

I was chatting with a young man who said he was starting on his spiritual path.  He asked what he should be doing everyday.  His question made me think of something that Eckhart Tolle said.  And, before I knew it, I had a poster for Tolle's quote.

Spirit Speaks - Walk Softly On The Earth

Each day, I ask the Universe, Great Mother, to help me to walk with grace and to walk softly upon the Earth.  Each night, I ask how well or not well, I did.  Each day, I learn more about walking on the Earth.  I feel very grateful that I have a day to walk the Earth or drive over it.

May you walk with grace and ease, and may you walk softly on the Earth this day.

Spirit Speaks - The Greedy

I keep hearing about how companies are laying off people, and increasing the profit.  I hear about the stress that we put on the Earth.  I hear about families that have to go to food banks or live out on the street.  I hear about people struggling.  And then I hear that banks made a huge profit, and corporations pay out bonuses or huge payouts to executives.  I ask where the balance is to be found.

Greed is defined by Merriam-Webster http://www.merriam-webster.com/dictionary/greed as "a selfish and excessive desire for more of something (like money)".

Where did greed come from?  Is it genetic?  Is it learned?  If so, then it must be taught.  Where do we teach it?  Can it be un-learned?

Spirit Speaks - Where Is Your Light?

Sometimes, one wonders what is going on.  The environment around me seems filled with chaos.  How do we make  sense of the corruption, the abuse, and the illness and disease?  How do we make sense of wars of genocide?  Where is the light?

I asked the question.  Where is the light?  I felt that peace that happens when you are surrounded by people that love you.  I felt the serenity.

Spirit Speaks - Everyone has a journey

Today, a colleague chastised me for not doing things that way that he did.  He said that his was the best way to complete a process, and that I obviously did not know what I was doing.  When I pointed out why I did my process, he did not want to hear it!  He called me confrontational.  He huffed out of the room.

I sat, bemused, and then shrugged.  My path and his are not compatible, it seems.

Angels Speak - Not Sleeping?

Recently, my friends have been complaining that they cannot sleep at night.  I have had that lack of sleep feeling coming and going.  The Angels say to take a breath, and hold it for the count of ten.  Then release it, and on the out breath, hold it for a count of ten.  Repeat this ten times.  You will sleep.  YOU will be rested.
